Rick Perkins - Associate Broker, REALTOR®
Rick Perkins is an Associate Broker and Realtor licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia. A native of Richmond, Virginia, he graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a major in Business Administration with concentrations in economics and real estate.
Shortly thereafter he began his career in real estate where he quickly moved into new home sales and development working with large regional and national builders and developers.
Spending eleven (11) years with HHHunt Corporation, Rick was involved in the sales/marketing and development of key communities that include Wellesley, Wyndham and Twin Hickory. During his tenure at HHHunt Corp he began as a sales representative and held various roles such as Sales and Marketing manager, business development manager and Vice President of Sale and Marketing responsible for both residential and commercial properties.
Rick was then offered a position in Florida to join Del Webb, the #1 developer and builder of Active Adult communities in the US. During his 13 years at Del Webb/Pulte Homes he served in the capacity of Director of Sales & Marketing and then Vice President of Operations. Rick was asked to be a part of multiple leader, training and mentoring programs such as Top Gun and Train the Trainer. In addition, he participated in an exclusive program called Emerging Leaders, where he was sent throughout the country to learn and share best practices among the various divisions.
Returning home to Virginia, Rick left Del Webb/Pulte to join Lennar Homes as the Vice President of Operations for Virginia. During his two-year tenure at Lennar Rick worked to redesign all of their product as well as model parks for their communities. He redesigned and orchestrated new sales training for the team and brought forth a mentoring program for new hires.
To further round out his career, in 2014 Rick joined FirstService Residential, #1 residential management company in all North America, as their Senior Vice President for Lifestyle Communities.
With a desire to get back to his roots of real estate sales, in 2016 Rick joined RE/MAX Commonwealth. As an associate broker he provided services to both buyers and sellers creating a niche in the Active Adult arena. In 2021, Rick saw an opportunity to enhance his experience as a professional Realtor and an associate broker and joined eXp Realty. Here, he felt he could offer a better experience and provide better service to his clients.
Rick has built a real estate business today that exceeds $19 million in revenue annually from his personal production, but more importantly helping over 250 families, over the last 5 years alone, find their new home and lifestyle. He takes great pride in his motto of “Making a Difference Every Day!”
