Rick is a native of Richmond, Virginia. He began his real estate career in college while attending Virginia
Commonwealth University, where he majored in Business Administration with concentrations in
economics and real estate. After graduating college, he began his employment career with Bowers,
Nelms & Fonville (now Long & Foster). He moved into new home sales shortly after joining to represent

HHHunt’s first west end master planned community, Wellesley.
HHHunt brought sales & marketing in house, and Rick was asked to join the internal team. He remained
at HHHunt for 11 years where he was trained by some of the best. Rick’s role grew from new home
sales to Director of Sales, and finally Vice President for Residential and Commercial Sales & Marketing.
While at HHHunt, Rick held various positions within the Sales & Marketing council of the Home Builders
Association of Richmond. He also served on the VCU Real Estate Circle of Excellence program and was
asked to speak on numerous occasions at the University in their real estate department. In addition,
Rick was asked to speak at various programs throughout the country on topics surrounding sales and
marketing and master planned community development.

Rick left HHHunt to join Del Webb, the #1 developer and builder of Active Adult communities in the US.
During his 15 years in Florida at Del Webb/Pulte Homes he served in the capacity of Director of Sales &
Marketing and then Vice President of Operations. Rick was asked to be a Top Gun, the company’s
future leaders and mentor program. He was a part of the Train the Trainer program, and lead training
exercises monthly for the team in all various areas, especially in the field of sales. He was asked to
participate in an exclusive program called Emerging Leaders, where he was sent throughout the country
to learn and share best practices among the various divisions.

Needing to return home to Virginia, Rick left Del Webb/Pulte to join Lennar Homes as the Vice President
of Operations for Virginia. During his two-year tenure at Lennar Rick worked with 3 architects to
redesign all of their product and model parks for their communities. He redesigned and orchestrated
new sales training for the team and brought forth a mentoring program for new hires.

To further round out his career, in 2014 Rick joined FirstService Residential, #1 residential management
company in all North America, as their Senior Vice President for Lifestyle Communities. Rick headed up
the largest of the divisions with over 600 associates. He led this team to 98% retention of prior clients
while increasing new business just shy of 20% growth. Understanding the importance of client
satisfaction by listening and being proactive in the approach to fulfilling their needs was critical to the
retention. Gaining new business through referrals was the secret to his success.

With a desire to get back to his roots of real estate sales, in 2016 Rick joined RE/MAX Commonwealth.
As an associate broker he provided services to both buyers and sellers. He took his many years of
knowledge and experience working in the Active Adult arena and made this a niche that he specializes
in. Rick joined eXp Realty in 2021 as he saw the opportunity to enhance his experience as a professional
Realtor and an Associate Broker with all the many processes and programs that are offered at eXp
Realty. Thus, he felt he could offer a better experience and provide better service to his clients. Rick
has built a real estate business today that exceeds $15,000,000 in revenue annually from his personal
production, but more importantly helping over 45 families annually find their new home and lifestyle.
